Haus of Birds : A Picture Book Illustration
This project is a unique combination of educational and interactive conceptual paper doll house book that showcases an abandoned house where birds of different habitats have taken over different rooms of the house .
Each illustration will have different birds in relation with the house becoming their habitats.
This is a picture book that encourages educational and observational skills in kids in a fun and entertaining way
Process
For this project I first did some research into different habitat and the birds that would live there. Then it came about to putting each habitat into its appropriate room.
The initial thumb-nailing , composition and color value experimentation was done digitally and then I made the final piece using traditional mediums of Gouache paint and color pencils . And finished pieces were scanned and digitally color corrected.
The original pieces are made in A3 size paper.
